Over 100 different cannabinoids, that occur naturally in cannabis plants, have been identified and chemically characterized. Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC), the primary psychoactive compound in Cannabis sativa, has been the subject of extensive scientific investigation since its isolation in the early 1960’s. In its pure form Δ9-THC is a viscous oil, which can make it difficult to handle and measure leading to inaccurate dosing and thus, inconsistent effects.
In attempts to overcome these formulation challenges, multi-component Δ9-THC powders have been created to provide improved handling, dosing accuracies, and health benefits. These new inventions are also protectable through the filing of intellectual property, thus adding additional benefit to the technical improvements. Herein, multiple multi-component Δ9-THC powders have been created and patents (US and PCT) filed.
